Pioneer's DVH-P7000 Cruises Into the Car with its Dual Zone Capability
Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. today announced the release of the DVH-P7000, a dual zone headunit that combines simultaneous playback of two media sources at the same time. This enables the driver and front-seat passenger to enjoy their favorite music or talk radio programs through AM/FM or XM Satellite Radio while rear-seat passengers can take advantage of video screens and headphones to watch movies or play video games. The DVH-P7000 combines the popular features of an audio component, including Supertuner III, MOSFET 50, Easy EQ, Dual Hi-Volt outputs and a versatile two-way crossover, with video capabilities, including DVD/DVD-R/RW playback, 96kHz/24-bit D/A conversion, optical output for Dolby Digital/DTS/Dolby Pro Logic (with DEQ-P7000).
"Drivers and passengers alike will enjoy the flexibility of a dual zone product," said Michael Townsen, vice president of marketing for mobile entertainment at Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. "The driver can listen to XM Satellite Radio while the kids in the back can be watching their favorite DVD on a overhead monitor."
The DVH-P7000 is the perfect media center for the automobile with an IP-Bus input that allows for easy accessorizing. Consumers can add XM satellite radio, multi-CD changer, TV tuner and a multi-channel processor for the ultimate audio and video experience. The optional DEQ-P7000 multi-channel processor incorporates 5.1-channel surround, six-channel Hi-Volt (5 Volts) outputs, 3-band parametric EQ, listening position and digital sound field control.
In addition to the flexibility of adding components through the IP-Bus, the DVH-P7000 can be used with a variety of rear-seat or overhead monitors. If consumers select Pioneer's new AVR-W6100 overhead monitor, they can take advantage of an extremely bright, crystal-clear picture with integrated controls to operate the DVH-P7000. The compact AVR-W6100 easily installs in place of the dome light of the car with minimal wiring. Pioneer's 6.5" widescreen monitor with a 234 x 1440 pixel resolution drops down from its compact casing and when not in use, the monitor folds back-up hidden in its case.
The DVH-P7000 is available for an estimated market price of $850. For consumers looking for a complete package, the RSE-SYS7000DVH includes the DVH-P7000 dual-zone headunit, the AVR-W6100 overhead monitor and wireless stereo headphones, for an estimated market price of $1,600.
