Pioneer GM Amplifiers Pump Out Power and Performance
Forceful Looks, Strong Power and Competitive Pricing Bring Music to Consumers’ Ears
Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc., the established leader in mobile entertainment products, today unveiled its latest GM amplifiers that combine brawny styling with power and performance for the value conscious consumer. The new line of amplifiers includes two 2-channel (GM-3000T and GM-5000T), two 4-channel (GM-4000F and GM-6000F) and one mono amplifier (GM-D510M), each built to maximize the sound performance needs of consumers.
“A good quality audio system can mean the difference between an enjoyable drive and a bad trip,” said Michael Townsen, vice president of marketing for mobile entertainment at Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. “Amplifiers not only increase volume but also significantly enhance dynamic range – providing much better sound quality overall.”
Cosmetics of the new GM amplifiers take on a powerful design with a black satin finish and a cool blue LED. Thick heavy extruded aluminum casings are used for maximum heat dissipation, efficiently cooling the amplifiers even at extreme output levels. The amplifiers can be configured at 4- or 2-Ohm stereo loads or a 4-Ohm mono load. Owners' manuals for each amplifier outline various installation configurations designated for the amplifier, offering maximum flexibility to consumers. Speaker level inputs and –12dB crossover features provide more installation versatility.
Mono amplifiers are also on a rise in popularity due to their efficiency and power to drive large subwoofers. Pioneer's mono class D amplifier, the GM-D510M has been revamped to achieve more power and efficiency. The amplifier can produce up to 1000 watts of power on demand with less current, delivering hard pounding bass. The GM-D510M sits on a smaller platform saving space for installation.
The GM-3000T and GM-5000T 2-channel amplifiers will be available for a suggested retail prices of $100 and $175. The GM-4000F and GM-6000F 4-channel amplifiers will be available for a suggested retail prices of $190 and $255. The GM-D510M mono amplifier will be available for suggested retail price of $330.
