Android Compatibility

As a leader in the car electronics industry, Pioneer is offering the widest selection of connectivity options for the Android smartphone user...more than any other aftermarket manufacturer. Android users can now enjoy music, apps, and information that are on the phone, directly on the display of the Pioneer receiver. 

The AppRadio Mode feature is now available on the full 2013 lineup of Navigation and DVD Receivers. Android compatibility is available on the following Pioneer models: AppRadio 3, AppRadio 2, AVIC-Z150BH, AVIC-X950BH, and AVH-X8500BHS. The CD-AH200C cable interface kit is required for Android compatibility. Please check the following list for Android devices that have been tested and confirmed to be compatible with AppRadio Mode. This list will continually be updated as more Android devices are tested and confirmed. Please check back soon if your device is currently not listed.

Note:OS versions are for final consumer OS releases only, and do not apply to developer versions or unofficial releases. Only the above devices and OS versions have been tested with AppRadio. Devices and OS versions not listed above should not be used with AppRadio.

The 2013 product line of CD, DVD, and Navigation receivers that feature built-in Bluetooth® have a capability of wirelessly streaming audio and track metadata to the unit with basic control from your Android device.

• A2DP profile for audio streaming.
• AVRCP profile for audio control (track metadata available on 2013 and 2012 AVIC and AVH models with AVRCP 1.3).
• SPP (Serial Port Profile) for full, on-screen control of Pandora® internet radio (for most Bluetooth models) and Aha™ Radio (for Navigation receivers) apps when installed on Android device. Please check the owner's manual of your Pioneer receiver to verify compatibility with the Bluetooth SPP profile.
